Spotlight: Compass
2.6 million students with life-threatening food allergies will enter US colleges in the next 4 years. They will live under the shadow of health risks and social constraints, constantly navigating food choices across every college experience. Spotlight: Compass redesigns the transition into college for students with food allergies. As a tool for self-advocacy, it allows each student to create their future on their own terms and not be defined by their allergies. Spotlight: Compass enables students to create a modular food plan that can be shared with parents and healthcare providers, while bringing visibility to existing resources that the college has in place.

A new feeding mechanism for children with cleft palate.
1 in 700 children across the world are born with cleft palate. Due to this cleft, children are unable to generate the intraoral pressure required for a regular feeding, resulting in delayed weight gain, increased chances for infection, and delayed surgery. Our team redesigned a new feeding method that was easier, more effective, and focused on restoring the emotional connection between parent and child often lost in current designs in the market.

Vertigo Metrics Dx (Verto)
Vertigo Metrics Dx, a retinal-imaging diagnostic tool used in the ER to expedite triaging and diagnose causes of dizziness — one of the most common complaints in ER and challenging ones to diagnosis. Causes of dizziness can be life threatening (e.g. stroke) or non-life threatening (e.g. vestibular neuritis). Currently, when patients comes into the ER with dizziness they must go through time-consuming, qualitative exams and expensive testing to determine the cause of dizziness. Verto aims to save costs for patients, providers, and payers and reduce time to diagnosis.
